Being an alleged musician, actor and writer kind of inner-city anonymity myself, I don’t want to appear a hypocrite, cos’ I’ve been a classic bohemian oddball too, and spent way too many years hanging around fellow ne’er do well boobs. Also they’d note that most everyone I used to know in my twenty’s were ignorant stoned fools, and couldn’t even organise lunch.
So I’m not so free of massive regrets or embarrassing and futile immature wastes of time myself. Dig, a lot of folks were once dysfunctional creeps and many an alternative rabble. I must admit I’ve had no paid up Marxist noodles as visitors or family friends lately. Nor do I know cruising sex novel writers, not that there’s anything wrong with that! So a classic young mans laughable and passionate life is pretty standard for many.
But what happens when you don’t regret or refute such goofball stuff, and maybe even praise such folks and maybe even believe in some of the central and absurd ideas, still?
And what does it mean when one hides, ignores, denies and excuses serious and consistent life long flaws in thinking, character and judgement? And this in people who are not just private and uninfluential citizens, but folks in positions of influence and power?

Now Mark is clearly a very distinguished and highly qualified professional man, who digs his own Dad as one usually does. Mark rather also groove’s to the Siren Song of Obama. So go figure what went wrong.

And what is this thing called love? Jr raves on and on it appears, how basically all critics and all criticism of Pops and Obama are sooooo like, totally wrong! Like totally! But golly, Mark neglects to show exactly where they are wrong.
Dig. Jr arguments come over as bog standard if sophisticated Left Liberal guff. To discredit the message, Mark Davis describes a Conservative world of deliberate fraud and paranoid conspiracy that just simply doesn’t exist in my neck of the noodle or much anywhere. For Jr it’s all “right wing” and thus bogus.

c. Edgar Tidwell, the expert on the life and writing of Frank Marshall Davis, says the book is "semiautobiographical," which (according to dictionary.com) means "1. pertaining to or being a fictionalized account of an author's own life. 2. pertaining to or being a work of fiction strongly influenced by events in an author's life."
d. Further, scandalous memoirs such as "Sex Rebel: Black (Memoirs of a Gash Gourmet)" have been a literary genre for centuries. According to Wikipedia, such fictional novels are allegedly factual, but are largely invented. The title, alone, qualifies it as a "scandalous memoir."
